June 27-29, The Little Big Horn Days features five days and nights centered around Custer's Last Stand Reenactment. Included are period costume balls, arts and crafts, books and entertainment. Activities include a fair, rodeo bull riding, parades, carnival, art auction, quilt show, street dance, and specialty meals. Custer's Last Stand Reenactment has more than 250 reenactors play out the events that led up to what has become know as Custer's Last Stand.

Skyfest Hot Air Balloon Championship – Billings, MT (406-255-0466)

July    , Montana's gathering of competitive hot air and special shaped balloons takes place in July. The festival opens Thursday with a parade of balloonists. Friday night there will be a Balloon Glow and Saturday night features a fireworks show and Balloon Glow. There is a 6:45 AM balloon launch each day (weather permitting) and activities on the balloon grounds.
