Visiting Billings is a rewarding and relaxing experience at any time of the year. The city is known for its vibrant atmosphere, beautiful environment, and a laid-back approach to modern living. With easy access to the mountains, the river, and a 45-mile trail system, it's no wonder Billings is Montana's top tourist destination.

The Luck of the Irish

One of the most exciting times to visit is March when St. Patrick's Day activities go into full swing. St. Patrick's Day in Billings, MT, is kicked off with the annual parade. Presented by Hooligan's Sports Bar, the St. Patrick's Day parade is a tradition that has lasted almost 40 years. About 100 floats will make their way through downtown Billings, where local celebrities will judge them.

Post-Parade Party

St. Patrick's Day in Billings MT doesn't end when the parade is over. After the ceremony, the Celtic Fair will fill the air with the melodic tones of Irish dance music and bagpipes. Cloggers will be dancing, street vendors will sell their wares, and delicious foods from gourmet grilled cheese to kettle corn will be available for purchase.

A Family Af-Fair

The St. Patrick's Day parade and Celtic Fair is fun for the whole family! A free rock climbing wall is fun for all ages. The young and young at heart will love the miniature horses and alpacas. Anyone can enjoy the Hooligan's Street Party, which will include live music and plenty of dancing in the street. Sports, bike skills, and more are available throughout the afternoon.

Stay and Celebrate

Billings knows how to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style, but just because the sun sets doesn't mean the fun has to end. The day after St. Pat's, you can join the Shamrock Run 5k and 10k in Pioneer Park or head down to BarMT for the St. Paddy's Murder Mystery. Perhaps you prefer to take it easy after a full day of celebrating. Relax at the Dude Rancher restaurant, spend an afternoon at the Western Heritage Center, or take in some local culture at the Yellowstone Art Museum. At the Dude Rancher Lodge, we want you to enjoy your Billings vacation on St. Patrick's Day and every day!
