5 Best Sports Bars Near Billings Montana

You won't have to look far to find a place to catch your favorite team. There are plenty of sports bars in town, with some even within walking distance of the Lodge.

Hooligan's Sports Bar

Hooligan's Sports Bar

Hooligan's says they're "the best damn sports bar...period!" Whether you agree with the sentiment or not, it's definitely the place to go to catch the game. They've got more than 20 high-definition televisions and even claim to have the biggest screen in Montana.

Of course, you need more than just big TVs to call yourself a sports bar, and Hooligan's delivers. Great burgers and grub, lots of beer choices, and a bit of Irish flair. Did you say Guinness and Harp Onion Rings? We're there.

Hooligan's is adding specials all the time, like their new Community Monday and their Power Hour, which is Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00 p.m. Check Holligan’s Sports Bar Facebook page for updates!

Hooligan's is right downtown on North Broadway--an easy walk from the Lodge.

Tiny's Tavern

A great little local's bar with a wonderful open patio, Tiny's serves the usual American bar fare. The pizza is good, and the well drinks are large. They've got music on the patio on weekends, but if you want to catch the game, you'll want to go to the inside sports bar. They've got DirectTV and many screens, so Tiny's is a great place to catch any football game. They also have gaming, thanks to Sports Bet Montana.

Tiny's Tavern is located just a few blocks east of the Lodge on 4th Avenue North.

The Den Sports Bar and Ale House

A large selection of local beers on tap, spectacular Buffalo sauce on the wings, and friendly service set The Den apart. They've got 22 big screens and the 100-ounce "Tower of Beer." The menu includes staples like pizza, wings, nachos, tacos, and--of course--burgers.

The Den is located north of town on Grand Avenue. It's next door to the Back 9 Lounge and The Lions Den Casino, should you be looking to fill some time between games.

Bar MT

With 28 local brews on tap, you won't go thirsty at Bar MT. They've got outdoor seating with firepits and a spectacular location right on the tracks. The feel of the historic building has been carried through, and while there are plenty of HD televisions to watch the game, there's also plenty of nostalgia.

Bar MT is located downtown next to the Billings Depot on Montana Avenue.

406 Kitchen & Taproom

The 406 (the local area code, if you were wondering) is a taproom started by local siblings Jake Brosovich and Brittainy Doucette. The rooftop bar and patio are a Billings first, and it's a fun way to spend a little time in the fresh air. They've got $1 off happy hours on weekdays from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and a constantly rotating menu of delectable treats. And, of course, they've got lots of draft beer and game-playing screens.

The 406 is located north of the Lodge on N 27th Street, just outside the Montana State University campus.
