Hotel Policies

All reservations are subject to an 8% lodging tax plus a $4 Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) fee per night. The TBID is a tax fund used for increasing visitation to Billings by adding or growing new or existing events within the city, using a portion of dollars from nightly stays at the program’s lodging partners.

Check-in time is 4 p.m. the day your reservation begins, while check-out time is 11 a.m. the morning after the final night of your reservation. Early check-in is allowed only if your room is available and is subject to Dude Rancher Lodge’s approval. Late check-out without prior communication with Dude Rancher Lodge may result in additional charges.

In accordance with Montana state law, Dude Rancher Lodge is a 100% smoke-free property. Smoking, vaping, and the use of any tobacco, e-cigarettes, marijuana, or recreational drugs or products are strictly prohibited inside guest rooms and all indoor or outdoor hotel areas.

Guests who wish to smoke may do so offsite and away from the building. Additional cleaning charges or the termination of your reservation may apply for any violation of this policy.

Dude Rancher Lodge is a proud pet-friendly hotel. We welcome well-behaved, common household pets and assess a non-refundable $15 per-pet, per-night fee to your reservation.

Pets at Dude Rancher Lodge are subject to the following conditions:

• Pets must be leashed or in a carrier in all public areas
• Pets may not be left unattended in guest rooms
• Pets must be up to date on vaccinations

Please note that owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets on hotel grounds, and housekeeping service is only provided when pets are not present in guest rooms. Guests with pets must arrange a convenient time for room cleaning with Dude Rancher Lodge staff for the duration of their reservation.

Guests assume full responsibility for any injuries, damages, or disturbances caused by their pets, and excessive noise and/or behavior may result in the termination of your reservation. Additional cleaning or damage fees may be charged to guests in violation of this policy.

For the comfort and safety of all guests, we are unable to accommodate exotic animals, dangerous breeds or species, livestock, or unusually large pets. If you have questions about whether your pet qualifies, please contact us prior to the beginning of your reservation.

Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at no additional charge and are not subject to pet fees. Please click the following link for Americans with Disabilities Act regulations for service animals.

A credit card and an acceptable form of identification (driver license, passport, etc.) are required to guarantee room reservations. The Dude Rancher Lodge will not rent rooms to guests with Billings, Montana identification. All reservations are subject to the hotel’s final approval.

Dude Rancher Lodge accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. A 24-hour advanced notice is required for all reservation cancellations.

Non-U.S. Guest Notice
United States dollars are the hotel’s only acceptable form of currency. Please exchange your country’s currency for U.S. dollars prior to payment.
