Get ready for magic in the skies over Billings this summer! The 2025 Big Sky Balloon Rally is floating into Billings, Montana, from July 24 through July 27. Formerly known as the Big Sky International Balloon Rendezvous, this fun event for all ages offers up-close interactions with balloons, youth activities, live entertainment, food trucks, face painting, and so much more! Everything You Need to Know About the Big Billings Balloon Fest

This July, pilots and spectators from around the globe will take over Amend Park for an unforgettable four-day weekend dedicated to the magic and engineering of ballooning! Each morning, attendees will begin by gathering at sunrise to see balloons ascending into the clear skies over Billings. Here's a breakdown of the itinerary for the 2025 Big Sky Balloon Rally:

• July 24 (Thursday): Sponsor flight from Amend park at 6 a.m.
• July 25 (Friday): Balloon launch from Amend Park at 6 a.m.
• July 26 (Saturday): Balloon launch from Amend Park (6 a.m.), live music (6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.), and balloon glow (dusk). Festival organizers have confirmed that DIRRT will take the stage just before the balloon glow!
• July 27 (Sunday): Balloon launch from Amend Park at 6 a.m.

As one of Montana's most anticipated events, the Big Sky Balloon Rally grows yearly. What started as an event hosting three to four balloons in the middle of a field outside of Billings has evolved into a massive multi-day event with 25 to 30 balloons on the roster. The balloons on display have fun themes and fascinating background stories that attendees can hear as they chat with pilots. The pilots participating in the event come from Canada, the United States, and beyond.

About the Venue

Amend Park is a 60-acre multi-use recreational complex on King Avenue in Billings. This gorgeous city park contains several large sports fields that are transformed into balloon launch spots during the event. There's plenty of space on the grass for spectators to watch balloons lift into the sky during launches.

What About Tickets?

There's no need to book tickets for the family to attend this big event. Organizers keep Montana's best balloon festival 100% free and open to the public. However, food trucks and vendors charge for food and drinks, kid-friendly activities, trinkets, and more.
