When is the Festival?

The Strawberry Festival takes place around the end of the first week in June. It usually starts early in the morning and ends in the early evening, which gives you time to squeeze in other activities that you want to do.

Where is It?

Festival-goers can easily find this festival because the city holds it downtown. This also makes it easy to find parking if you brought a car from home or rented one for your Montana vacation. You can park in a parking garage that charges fees or opt for street parking. Some shuttles are available too that pick visitors up from set locations. You can hop on the shuttle at the end of the day to get back to your car.

What Kind of Food Will You Find?

The Billings Strawberry Festival features food trucks and vendors set up in the streets to sell dishes made from these sweet berries. While you might expect desserts to be on the menu, you'll find savory dishes too. Just imagine grabbing a juicy piece of chicken slathered in a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce made from berries and other ingredients. Other trucks specialize in Asian dishes that use the berry. If you're a fan of sweets, you can grab dishes such as strawberry shortcake and strawberry ice cream made on the spot.

What Else Can You Do at the Festival?

Though the events and activities change each year, you will find that some remain the same such as the live entertainment offered. Bands play in the streets and get people excited about the festival. A children's area offers arts and crafts activities for kids of all ages and activities that parents can do too. You'll also find a reserved area where volunteers work on building a 60-foot strawberry shortcake that they divide up for the crowd. Loads of vendors will be on hand to sell souvenirs and products made from strawberries too.
